This Privacy Policy describes how Tensyde ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our web-based 3D scene editor service ("the Service").

By using Tensyde, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name
  • Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)

2.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use the Service:

  • Projects created and modified
  • Export activities
  • Feature usage metrics
  • Session information

2.3 Payment Information

When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details. Stripe may collect:

  • Billing name and address
  • Payment card details (handled securely by Stripe)
  • Transaction history

2.4 Uploaded Content

When you upload images to use in your projects, these files are stored on our cloud storage infrastructure. You retain ownership of all content you upload.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process your transactions and manage your subscription
  • Send you service-related communications (account verification, security alerts, billing notifications)
  • Respond to your requests and support inquiries
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract execution: Processing necessary to provide your account, manage your projects, and fulfill your subscription (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • Legitimate interest: Analytics to improve the Service, security measures to protect users and infrastructure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR)
  • Consent: Optional marketing communications, if applicable (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR)
  • Legal obligation: Retention of accounting and billing records as required by law (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR)

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure password hashing
  • Regular security assessments
  • Access controls and authentication

Your data is stored on a VPS hosted by Hostinger in Europe. Uploaded files (images, project assets) are stored on Cloudflare R2, with servers distributed globally via Cloudflare's network.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Tensyde:

6.1 Stripe

We use Stripe to process payments. When you make a purchase, your payment information is sent directly to Stripe. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle your data.

6.2 Cloudflare R2

We use Cloudflare R2 for cloud storage (uploaded images, project assets) and content delivery. Data is stored securely and is only accessible through authenticated requests. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

6.3 Google (OAuth)

We offer Google as a login option. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account. We do not access any other Google data. See Google's Privacy Policy.

6.4 Resend

We use Resend to send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, security alerts). Your email address is shared with Resend solely for this purpose. See Resend's Privacy Policy.

6.5 Umami (Analytics)

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool self-hosted on our own infrastructure. Umami does not collect any personal data, does not use cookies, and does not track users across websites. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Authentication: Session cookies to keep you logged in
  • Preferences: Storing your settings such as theme preference
  • Language: A NEXT_LOCALE cookie to remember your language preference

We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. Essential cookies are required for the Service to function properly.

8. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to Object: Object to certain processing of your data
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of how we use your data

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the Service:

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Projects and uploads: Retained until you delete them or your account

  • Usage logs: Retained for a reasonable period for security and analytics

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it by law.

10. Children's Privacy

Tensyde is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately at [email protected], and we will take steps to delete such information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
